Festival Volunteer Opportunity
Join us as a volunteer for the 2025 Human Rights Are Universal Festival! This is your chance to be part of a dynamic team bringing together artists, activists, and audiences to celebrate human rights through art, film, music, and performance.

Responsibilities
Volunteer Roles Available
Visitor Services
- Welcome and direct festival attendees
- Provide information about programs and venues
- Assist with ticket checking and audience management
- Support accessibility services for visitors with special needs
Exhibition Support
- Assist with gallery monitoring
- Provide information about artworks and exhibitions
- Support exhibition installation and de-installation
- Help with artwork handling (training provided)
Event Operations
- Assist with event setup and breakdown
- Support stage management for performances
- Help with artist hospitality
- Assist technical team with basic tasks
Media & Documentation
- Support photography and video documentation
- Assist with social media coverage
- Help collect audience feedback
- Support press and media representatives
Community Engagement
- Assist with workshop facilitation
- Support community outreach activities
- Help with children's programs and family activities
- Provide translation services (if applicable)
Volunteers typically commit to 4-6 hour shifts. We will work with you to create a schedule that matches your interests and availability.
Qualifications
Volunteer Requirements
Basic Requirements
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Commitment to human rights values
- Availability during the festival period (November 15-30, 2025)
- Ability to attend a volunteer orientation session
- Reliable and punctual
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to work as part of a team
Beneficial (But Not Required)
- Previous volunteer or festival experience
- Knowledge of arts and culture
- Interest in human rights issues
- Customer service experience
- Multilingual abilities
- First aid certification
Time Commitment
- Attend one 3-hour orientation session (multiple dates available)
- Commit to a minimum of 20 hours during the festival (typically 4-5 shifts)
- Optional: Pre-festival volunteer opportunities available starting November 1
